Asian Idol is just like another singing competition which is featuring winners of idol competitions from six Asian countries which are India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam. The program is going to be hosted by Amelia Natasha and Daniel Mananta, both from Indonesian Idol. Special guests in the program include American Idol winner Taylor Hicks, Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian and Indian Idol judge Alisha Chinai. Live Performances are going too held on December 15 and the result will be declared on December 16. From India Abhijeet Sawant is selected for participating in Asian Idol.

Voting methods

Voting methods are quite different from regular Idol shows. In these show viewers will vote for two favorite contestants so that contestant can get votes from different country not only from his/her own country. Considering population sized of participating countries the result is going to be determined through 50% viewers' votes and 50% judges' scores.
